Q: What is the first thing to do, now that I have a netcatalog website?

A: Make sure that your 'control panel' is working and that you can login...

1. Login to your website's control panel, http://cp.yourdomain.co.za, (substitute 'yourdomain.co.za') with the name of your domain and extension.
2. Log in with the user name and password that we sent you.
3. If you cannot login, please contact Alan, or Roland, to reset your password.
4. If you type in http://cp. followed by yourdomain, in a browser, and press enter, and are not asked to enter your username and password, then it's possible that your control panel has not been loaded onto your domain yet, or your domain was recently registered, (within the last 2 days), and has not yet 'propogated', i.e. become active. It takes 2 to 3 days for a newly registered domain to become active.
5. If you want to use ASP scripts on your website, you will need to "enabled" scripts. Click the "Domain Setting" tab on your control panel, and click the link to enable scripts. If you are not going to use scripts, leave scripts disabled for an additional performance boost.
6. Choose an FTP password. Click the "Domain Setting" tab, and click the "change FTP Password link.
7. Change your control panel password.
